He was born on September 29, 1988, and began his career with his hometown club, Flamengo. In the summer of 2007, he joined Atlético Madrid and spent two years there before returning to Brazil.
In 2010, Telles signed with AC Milan, where he made his Serie A debut against Udinese on October 24. He scored his first goal for the team in a 2-0 win over Bologna on November 16. He also helped the team reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League that season.
In 2012,Bundesliga Tracking Telles moved to Manchester United, where he had a successful loan spell. He scored three goals in nine appearances during the season. In 2013, he returned to AC Milan and helped them win the Coppa Italia title. He also won the Serie A title in 2015 and 2016.
